While this Gig economy jobs book is a little dated, it has a lot of techniques and would be a good starter book to get you mind and thinking in the right direction for gigs you could start.
Introduction and Setup
Fiverr is the first and largest of a new kind of micro worker platforms, where anybody and their dog can offer all kinds of different services for a fixed price of $5 per order. A “Fiver” is another name for a five dollar bill, hence the name of the platform. Advanced sellers, however, are given the option to sell additions (upsells) to their offers at a higher price than $5.
For example, there are people offering to record themselves singing a song of your choice while playing their guitar. Another person might create icons or other graphics that can be used on websites. These offers are called gigs, and every user can run 20 different gigs on their account at the same time.
Many of the gig economy jobs I have seen are very creative, some even downright beautiful. For example, you can get people to send you a postcard from anywhere in the world, such as Hawaii or Indonesia. I’ve even seen people offering to write your custom message in the sand on a beach in The Bahamas and send you photos of it. But apart from beautiful gigs like these, there are also very useful ones. People offer to write articles for your website, translate or proofread text, create a cover for an eBook and so on. You can get a lot of value for a small price!
Fiverr is the place for gig economy jobs
As far as Internet marketing is concerned, Fiverr is a place both for beginners as well as experienced people. I always tell beginners to start their endeavors at Fiverr and use the money they make there to invest into building their business, or build it on Fiverr itself. I’ve convinced a bunch of my friends to do so and taught them to be successful. They now thank me for it and have happily provided their own experience, so I can share it with you.
Fiverr represents a whole world of opportunities to earn or get things done for you. It’s a large website, well known and has a lot of visitors each day. Instead of building something from scratch, a beginner can leverage fiverr.com right away and literally start making money by tomorrow or even a few hours after creating the first gig. With the money earned by completing orders, you can get webhosting, domains, an auto responder and tools without having to invest into these things out of your own pocket. In addition, you get something even more valuable – experience from doing something, motivation and the feeling of accomplishment.
Making that first dollar online is the sweetest moment, one you are unlikely to ever forget. Most beginners are confused and wonder what they could do, without ever making a dime online. With this guide, you’re on the inside, so I urge you to take it seriously and take action! Making money on Fiverr has proven to be easy, if you take action.
